The coil-wound heat exchanger (CWHE) is a kind of special shell-and tube heat exchanger. Since it was applied in the industry in 1895, it was widely used in the industries such as coal chemical industry, fertilizer, fine chemical industry, pharmacy and energy conservation and environment protection. It is also being continuously popularized and widely applied.
The coil-wound heat exchanger can be made of many materials such as copper, aluminum alloy, stainless steel, carbon steel, dual-phase steel and titanium so as to be adapt to the requirements for different work environment (including greater temperature gradient, higher pressure and better corrosion resistance).
The special structure of coil-wound heat exchanger can make several jets of fluid exchange the heat in one heat exchanger, synchronously finish the work need to be finished by several sets of traditional shell and tube heat exchangers. It can make the coil-wound heat exchanger have the heat transfer efficiency higher than that of traditional shell and tube heat exchanger. It can also make the temperature difference at hot end reduced to 3 degrees, even lower. It can also make the coil wound heat exchanger have stronger energy-saving advantages than common shell and tube heat exchange so that the user can save more operating cost.
The coil-wound heat exchanger can not only be suitable for the heat transfer process of single phase flow, but also can be suitable for heat transfer process of double phase flow.
Each coil-wound heat exchanger is elaborately designed according to the customers’ use requirement: heat transfer and hydrodynamic design: confirm the medium flow condition meeting the technological requirements and suitable resistance and confirm the heat exchange area required for each jet of medium; technological design: the structural design and process route design meeting the manufacturing process and quality control; strength design: the design meeting Chinese standards for pressure vessel and requirements for ASME standards. Each process of products will be elaborately designed and strictly checked.
